QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
Key Objective
- To provide QA/QC services to project team and to ensure that all quality requirements are met during the execution of projects. The objective is to hand over to operator a quality end product, which meets the design specifications, operational and maintenance requirements
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure the inclusion of quality requirements in tenders/contracts/requisitions and evaluate tenders and requisitions against quality requirements
- Review and approve contractor's QA/QC plans and procedures
- To develop internal QA System documentation for project
- Approve CV's of contractor's quality and inspection personnel
- Monitor welder tests, witness all procedure qualification tests and approve contractor's welders
- Ensure that the construction contractor adhere to the QC plan and comply to BLNG/BSP/DEP specifications. Resolve all technical queries related to inspection and quality
- To assist in the preparation of Project close out report
- Review all non-conformances raised by contractor, raise non-conformances against contractors when necessary and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Conduct audits on construction contractors, subcontractors or vendors for adherence to contract requirements, quality requirements and procedures
- To assist in the training of local staffs in QA activities
Qualifications & Experiences
- Minimum 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry in QA/QC, inspection and auditing. Experience should include involvement in the fabrication and installation of oil & gas facilities and working with project engineers and contractors
- Should have worked as independent in-charge of QA / QC activities for a project
- Relevant work experience that demonstrates ability to manage Quality Assurance section independently and sound knowledge of systems and related QA procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance, NDT & welding inspection requirements and techniques, the company's standards & specifications, international standards and legislative requirements
- Good communication skills, with the ability to develop effective business relationships both within and outside functional boundaries
- Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplined team
