CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

Principal accountabilities

  • Control and monitor the execution of all works carried out by the contractors under SCOT Phase 2 project.
  • Ensure that the contractor carry out the work to contractual specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all activities comply to HSE requirements and standards.
  • Manage the relationship with Asset units and ensure close liaison with Operations and Project teams for SCOT Phase 2 and SNF WI.
  • Participation in verifying the Contractor’s Milestone Zero, Preliminary Cost Measure (PCM) and the Actual Cost Measure (ACM). Also to ensure the correctness of the contractor’s time sheets and daily progress report.
  • To implement the requirements of BSP-12 and BSP-72 standards doc and to assume the responsibilities for the applicable tasks describe in that documentation. Raise variations/non-conformances to procedures and standards.
  • Ensuring relevant parties duly sign the relevant construction handover and completion certificates and verifying the correctness of the As-Built drawing packages submitted by contractors.
  • Review and commenting all work method/ procedure, commissioning packages.
  • Review and support for approval on HIP/ JHA and Milestone Zero Documentation before initial Contractor work site mobilisation.
  • Participate in relevant audits to verify work done on site and provide combined audit analysis and feedback to BSP project manager.
  • Conduct contractual Contractor Performance Review (CPR) in regular interval with BSP audit team.

Qualifications

  Required HND (8-10 yrs experience) or Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent (3-4 years) relevant Oil & Gas (E&P) experiences with preferably a Construction background, and supervisory experience.
  Preferred Possess a pragmatic and direct approach to the work at hand. Familiar with all relevant BSP HSE requirements, Engineering specifications including procedures, guidelines, international industrial standards and has a good reporting and presentation skills.

Competence Required

  Experience Experience in multidiscipline construction.
  Training Have attended HSE courses relevant for CE/CSR
