SYSTEM ANALYST – E&P

Systems Analyst - E&P Portfolio, ensures that all Subsurface and Development/Production applications for CPOC are fully developed, maintained, and supported according to the Service Level Agreements (SLA). |
Responsibilities
- Provide E&P application support services (subsurface, development, drilling, production)
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of E&P industry applications.
- Become fully proficient in supporting a wide range of applications, scripts and utilities to support the business.
- Develop a working knowledge of the applications portfolio management processes (e.g. license management, large-scale data storage management, etc.)
- Work collaboratively and proactively with users to deliver data and support to enable business continuity.
- Work with the other applications support teams to provide a seamless services.
- Contribute to the testing of new products and upgrades in the E&P Application Portfolio.
- Pro-active Learner and customer focus.
- Be prepare to escalate and work on complex support issues with vendors and in-house IT teams.

To provide a high standard in geo-science application and infrastructure support to the Exploration and Production (E&P) user community. |
Requirements
- Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- Minimum 3 years experience in application support and development.
- At least 1 year experience in DBA skills.
- Experience in supporting UNIX/LINUX, Windows operating systems, enterprise network system and storage.
- Broad knowledge across main industry standard applications and databases emphasizing functional support, troubleshooting issues.
- Effectively able to apply structured problem solving skills and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, action plans, impacts and resolution options.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Candidates with the following skills will be at an added advantage.
- Cross application/platform data migration techniques and procedures.
- Project creation within E&P applications and Project and data archiving.
- Clear understanding of Subsurface / Surface data types including well data, seismic data and mapping techniques.
- Subsurface data loading and management (e.g., knowledge of Seismic SEGY format)
- Experience in supporting any of these applications; OpenWorks, Petrel, Openspirit, Geoframe, Mapping (Petrel, Microstation), Petrosys.
- Significant experience in applications support or consultancy in the E&P industry.
